Guarding Your Heart: A Christian’s Pathway to Fruitfulness

One thing I have learned to love about our LORD Jesus is the simplicity of His way. His way is so simple, that a child can easily identify with Him.

That’s why we allow His Spirit to work on us and get us to the place where our hearts can receive from Him.

When life’s drama would come I let it sneak in. It would leave me unfeeling towards God, I would feel sad, anxious and depressed. I observed this over time so now I don’t let issues get inside me to where I’m inactive. I plan my life around the peace and Joy God has given me and in such a way that it benefits others as well. Which means whatever I’m involved with if it starts taking away from my peace and Joy, I’m out. It doesn’t matter what shape or form it appears like. If it steals from us, it’s NOT our friend.

WE GUARD OUR HEARTS

We are God’s poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny He has given each one of us. We can’t be careless about our hearts and let things choke out the life of God in us. JESUS told us about the condition of our hearts and its effect on our receiving His message and bearing fruits. He used different conditions of soil to describe man’s heart.

But what was sown on good, rich soil represents the one who hears and FULLY embraces the message of the kingdom. Their lives bear good fruit—some yield a harvest of thirty, sixty, even one hundred times as much as was sown. (Matthew 13:23 TPT)

For us not to get stolen from, take things personally to where we give up and become fruitless. Let’s consider these things.

  • Cares of life – We have to realize that the systems of this world are set up to put pressure on us. It’s either to put us in a small place or to constantly get us to overwork till the body can’t keep up anymore. We have to give God full access to every aspect of our lives and stick with him. The soul (mind, will, emotions) is where demons can manipulate us that is why we stay in the Spirit ( reminding ourselves what God’s word says and praying in the Spirit)

No matter what we are going through, in relationships, finances, parenting, in school, at work, in our businesses, in our bodies. God will walk us out of it if we allow him. Even if you feel stuck, He’s got you!
So, God defines our boundaries now, Whatever He says goes. We follow him step by step as He walks us out of situations that set us up to fail.

We organize our lives in such a way that the cares of this life don’t get to us to the point where it deactivates us.

  • The love of money – Throughout the scriptures, we see that God prospers His people. His intent towards us is good, not bad. We also see that not only is He willing but He is also ABLE. He is the one who gives His people the power to get wealth.

Jesus said that we have been given teachable hearts to perceive the secret, hidden mysteries of God’s kingdom realm. Let’s just pass our tests- develop character so we can be trusted with people and resources. We know God has plans for each one of us. We go after His heart and He unveils to us his purpose for our lives. We count the cost and fully go after God.

HE’S WORTH IT!
